IGBT power modules from Semikron
SEMIKRON has added a new topology for use in three-level inverters to its SEMITOP IGBT product range. The topology integrates IGBT technology with lower switching and conduction losses to produce losses 60 percent lower than two-level inverters. The SEMITOP module has been designed for low commutation inductivity compared to half-bridge modules. The improved efficiency of the DC/AC conversion is intended for UPS applications in the power range from 5kVA to 80kVA.
AC/DC power supply from XP Power
XP Power has announced the availability of its ECM140 series of compact open frame single-output AC/DC power supplies. Measuring 76.2 x 127 x 33 mm (3 x 5 x 1.3 in) and offering a high power density of 7.9W per cubic inch, the ECM140 requires just 10 CFM of forced air-cooling to achieve the full 148 W output.
