LED Driver modules suit constant current and constant voltage requirements.

Specialist power conversion distributor, PIV Technology has announced a new range of LED Driver modules from its Taiwan based manufacturing partner Glacial Power Inc. The Glacial Power range of LED Drivers provides constant current capability with the LC series and constant voltage with the LV and MS series of products. The drivers feature a Class II Universal Input (90-264V ac, 47-63Hz) and cover an output range of 1 – 24 watts.

The LC series features outputs of 1W to 18W with output voltages in the range of 3V to 54V and constant currents of 350mA and 700mA. The LV and MS series features constant voltage outputs of 5V, 12V and 24V and covers the output power range of 3W to 24W. All models have inbuilt over voltage, over current and overload protection and are 100% burn in tested. To ensure versatility in installation the products are available with either stripped lead or screw terminal connections.

The drivers have an operating temperature range of -10 deg C to +40 deg C at full load and are housed in either an IP64 or IP67 rated plastic case making them suitable for outdoor use. All of the products are provided in compact cases with sizes range from 42mm x 40mm x 21 mm to 141mm x 45mm x 26mm. The range is approved to current safety standards and meets the requirements of RoHS.

The range has an MTBF of 100K Hr’s Min, MIL-HDBK-217F (25 deg C) and provides a cost effective solution to the driving of both high power and decorative LED products.
