Encapsulated Power Supplies Serve Challenging Applications

Available in versions delivering a regulated output voltage from 3.3V to 55V (in 0.1V increments) with a continuous output of up to 6W, GlobTek's GT-91114-XXYY-PP family of Level V power supplies is potted in a 65 x 35 x 23 mm impact-resistant polycarbonate case to ensure operation in harsh environments. Features of the conduction-cooled devices include double/reinforced insulation, a tightly-regulated output voltage with very low ripple, and built-in overcurrent, short-circuit, and overvoltage protection.
Our encapsulated supplies are a good solution for power in places where water and moisture is an issue, according to Ed Seaman, VP of Sales for GlobTek. Many household applications involving convenience electronics and motorized systems can be subject to accidental spills and the like, so water-resistant electronics aren't only for outdoor applications.
The encapsulated power supplies come in a wall-mount configuration with user-configurable mounting tabs, and can accept a universal input from 90-264Vac. Pending Safety Agency Requirements include UL /cUL 60950/60601.1, TUV EN60950/60601.1, and other international agencies as well as compliance with EMI/RFI Regulations, EMC Directives/ CE and FCC Class B for ITE/Medical Applications.
