1A Switching Regulators from Powersolve are drop-in replacements for inefficient linears

News Release from: Powersolve
04 March 2009

Powersolve has announced a series of 1A switching regulators designed to be drop-in replacements for inefficient 78XX series linear regulators. Manufactured by Tracopower, the TSR-1 Series consists of nine models offering 4.75 to 32VDC input ranges and output voltages of 1.5 to 15VDC at 1A output current.

1A Switching Regulators from Powersolve are drop-in replacements for inefficient linearsEfficiency levels up to 96% allow full load operation up to +60°C ambient temperature without the need for a heatsink or forced cooling. TSR-1 switching regulators provide other significant features over linear regulators such as better output accuracy, lower stand-by current and no requirement for external capacitors.

The wide input voltage range allows direct operation from a 24VDC bus voltage while high efficiency and low stand-by power consumption make these regulators an ideal solution for battery-powered applications.
