Small Chokes in Production Volumes

Murata announces production volumr of its LQM18F series of multilayer devices.

Choke coils in the LQM18F series are smaller than comparative multilayer and wirewound devices measuring just 1.6 x 0.8 x 0.8mm. This makes them ideal for choke applications in DC power lines in portable equipment.

In performance terms, the chip coils offer a higher rated current than competitive multilayer coils and chokes. They are specified at 50, 80, 120 and 150mA for devices in the inductance ranges of 10, 4.7, 2.2 and 1uH respectively.

The LQM18F series parts also feature low DC resistance, superior DC bias figures and their magnetically shielded structure provides excellent crosstalk and magnetic coupling characteristics.

Applications include choke circuits in DC power lines of compact mobile and hand-held equipment such as mobile phones, digital still cameras, video cameras and music players, as well as in other data processing and entertainment systems.
