IRC Offers Resistive Products in Both RoHS-Compliant and Standard Sn/Pb Terminations
News Release from:
07 April 2009
Responding to continued market demand for standard Sn/Pb components, TT electronics IRC continues to offer 80% of its product lines in both RoHS-compliant and standard Sn/Pb versions. IRC's products available in both materials include current sense resistors, precision discretes, networks, and integrated passive components. The extensive product offering suits a number of application demands, while providing shorter lead times due to the availability of both types of products.
“While the RoHS-compliance initiative several years ago caused the conversion of most commercial and consumer electronics to the lead-free versions, the demand for leaded products has remained strong, particularly in the military/aerospace industry,” said Steve Wade, director of sales and marketing for IRC. “Unlike many other manufacturers who now offer only RoHS-compliant products, we provide both versions and let our customers choose based on their application-specific needs.”
IRC’s resistive technologies include thin film tantalum nitride discretes and networks on ceramic and silicon substrates for precision high-frequency applications, thick film low- and high-resistance chips, wirewound resistors and assemblies, cylindrical surface mount resistors, and high frequency discretes, networks and attenuators. IRC’s resistive products and technologies are specified for use in automotive, computer, communications, medical, industrial, military and instrumentation applications.
