All-purpose laser diode driver - Driving laser diodes from CW to 155 MHz with power or current control
The all-purpose laser diode drivers iC-NZN and iC-NZP operate laser diodes in both CW and spike-free pulse mode with up to 155 MHz. The devices allow either the optical output power (APC) or laser diode current (ACC) to be controlled. In ACC mode also laser diodes without monitor diodes can be used. Blue laser diodes can also be operated with iC-NZN. The maximum available laser diode current is 300 mA. The devices have an adjustable current limit.
Laser Diode Modules - New FLEXPOINT Nomenclature
In response to the increasing choice of FLEXPOINT laser diode modules, the company has changed the part code nomenclature for the dot and line lasers. Our standard dot laser modules include 8 different wavelengths, between 1 and 100mW output power choices, optional power adjustment with either a potentiometer or an control extra wire, circular or elliptical beams, fixed focus, focusable or collimated beam, and a range of addition optics, such as housing size, supply voltage and more.

New Tunable Laser Source
The new ModBoxTTX from Photline Technologies is a benchtop tunable laser source designed for laboratory and production use. The ModBoxTTX offers a 1MHz resolution over 40nm of wavelength tunability in either the A band, the C band or the L band. It delivers a comfortable 13.5dBm (optional 15.5dBm) output power of highly pure (100kHz linewidth) light from a polarisation maintaining output fibre.

Ophir-Spiricon, the global leader in precision laser measurement, today announced that BeamGage®, the company's next generation laser beam analysis software, now supports the XEVA InGaAs NIR Camera for demanding applications. New 638nm Red Laser Diode with the World’s Highest Output Power of 500mW by Mitsubishi Electric
Mitsubishi Electric is introducing a new red laser diode, dubbed the ML520G72. It offers the world's highest output power compared to all laser diodes in the 638nm wavelength region and so it is perfectly suited to pico projector applications or other portable display systems requiring a red light source with high brightness. The ML520G72's output power of 500mW helps with the design of high-luminous LD-based projectors and can provide a luminous flux of up to 60 lumens (lm). At the moment LED-based projectors typically offer only about 10lm.

Intense Ltd., developer of next generation semiconductor lasers, systems and solutions, today announced the 600W Mini stack, the newest member of the Hermes family of high power QCW stacked arrays. The 600W Mini Stack is an ultra compact 600W QCW stack with an emission area of less than 3mm x 3mm. A high brightness stack, it generates output in the range of 7.6 kW/cm2. The design is built in standard wavelengths of 808 and 940 nm. Custom wavelengths, including multicolor options, are available on request.

Ophir-Spiricon today announced two new Laser Beam Dump products for high power applications, the BD5000W-BB-50 and the BDFL500A-BB-50. These devices are designed to safety absorb the unused part of a high power laser beam and dissipate the resulting heat, protecting nearby personnel and equipment. The BDFL500A-BB-50 is a fan-cooled Beam Dump for up to 500W. The BD5000W-BB-50 is a water-cooled Beam Dump for even higher power applications, up to 5kW.
Intense Announced High Power Turnkey Direct Diode Laser System at Photonics West 2010
Intense Ltd., today announced at Photonics West the release of Hermes DDL, a turnkey Direct Diode Laser System. Powered by Intense's patented QWI enabled high temperature QCW stack technology, Hermes DDL is the company's first turnkey industrial laser system. It includes a compact, turnkey laser that comes fully integrated with drive electronics and optics capable of delivering up to 1.5kW of power at various programmable pulse lengths and duty cycles. Ophir-Spiricon has announced Beam Cube, an integrated, industrial laser beam analyzer designed for high precision welding and cutting applications. Beam Cube measures beam profile, temporal pulse shape, focal spot position, and power up to 150W. 638nm Laser Diodes for Pico Projectors
Mitsubishi Electric has developed new high power laser diodes emitting high-intensity red light with a wavelength of 638nm. The new devices dubbed ML5xx71 and ML5xx54 series are perfectly suited for applications like pico projectors. These new laser diodes provide an output power of up to 300mW respectively 110mW in fundamental mode at continuous wave operation.
RGB lasers feature 5-30VDC operation and output power up to 200mW.
Z-LASER has introduced a new range of advanced lasers available with wavelengths of red, green, blue and IR with output powers up to 200mW. With these new lasers, the user no longer has to settle for a particular operating voltage as they feature 5-30VDC operation, with voltage, spike and reverse polarity protection.
