Digi Introduces An Industry First Smart Energy Gateway
Digi International introduced the ConnectPort X2 for Smart Energy gateway. It is a ZigBee Smart Energy certified gateway that easily connects certified ZigBee Smart Energy devices from a Home Area Network (HAN) to an energy service provider via broadband. It is the industry's first gateway that connects, controls, or gathers data from ZigBee Smart Energy devices equally well before or with Smart Meter deployments. When a Smart Meter is present the gateway can make meter information immediately available to any energy management application. Agilent Technologies and Silicon Hive to Demonstrate Programmable Digital Radio-Frequency Processing at 2010 Mobile World Congress
Agilent Technologies announced it will demonstrate with Silicon Hive B.V. completely flexible digital radio-frequency processing for UMTS. The demonstration will be at the 2010 Mobile World Congress, Barcelona, Spain, Feb. 15-19, hospitality suite 3.1HS115. The demonstration will feature Agilent's vector signal generator and signal analyzer with Silicon Hive's HiveFlex CSP2500-based programmable digital RF processing for UMTS.
Cypress and DOEACC Centre Calicut Agree to Set Up New PSoC Laboratory
Cypress Semiconductor and DOEACC Centre Calicut, Kerala, India have agreed to set up a joint PSoC programmable system-on-chip laboratory at DOEACC. As part of the agreement, Cypress will provide hands-on training sessions for the faculty and students of DOEACC, in addition to free hardware and software tools. Blue Wonder Communications, today announced that it has completed integration of its LTE terminal baseband solution with the 4M Wireless LTE UE protocol stack. This activity marks an important milestone for Blue Wonder in its ability to offer a complete reference platform for the LTE terminal market with its partners. Blue Wonders reference platform BlueGate utilises its advanced baseband solution and the integrated RF transceiver IC (LMS6002) delivered by Lime Microsystems.
