CSR debuts SiRFprimaAuto connected, auto-qualified infotainment and navigation platform
CSR has introduced the SiRFprimaAuto multifunction location platform, its first auto-qualified SoC product and a breakthrough connected infotainment solution specifically created to meet the stringent quality, interoperability and reliability requirements of tier-1 automotive electronics OEMs. The AEC-Q100 qualified SiRFprimaAuto SoC with built-in GPS/GNSS is unique because it is pre-integrated with CSR's acclaimed automotive-grade wireless connectivity solutions and associated CSR Synergy connectivity host software, as well as SiRFDRive dead reckoning software, which speeds connectivity integration, improves location performance and reduces the cost of product software design, debugging and testing.

e-con Systems Inc., an embedded Product Development company based in St. Louis, MO and Chennai, India, today launched their e-CAM50_OMAP_GSTIX, a 5M Pixel High Definition (HD) Camera Solution designed for the OMAP35x-based Gumstix Overo computer-on-module series. Samsung Selects Atmel maXTouch Solution For GALAXY Tab Android Tablet
Atmel today announced that Samsung has selected Atmel maXTouch solution to power the recently-launched GALAXY Tab, the first of Samsung's new category of mobile tablet devices. Powered by version 2.2 of Google's Android operating system, the Samsung GALAXY Tab features PC-like web-browsing, powerful multimedia features, mobile email, voice and video calling. This new tablet also has access to the vast array of applications available through Android Marketplace. NanoKTN to Assist British Standards Institution in Review of Nanotechnology Standard
The British Standards Institution (BSI) assisted by the NanoKTN, is pleased to confirm it will be reviewing one of the founding nanotechnology standards, BSI PAS 71, Nanoparticle Vocabulary. PAS 71 is in place to provide usable terms for the nanotechnology industries to determine internationally agreed terms and the NanoKTN is encouraging UK organisations to submit comments during the month long consultation starting in late September.
VLSI Solution announces availability of VS1000 Audio Module
The VS1000 Module is a small, low-cost, high performance, easy to use audio player that is controlled from the IO pins, UART, SPI or USB. It can be used as a plug-in audio board in electronic systems or as a standalone small audio player. The module has a 2 Megabyte Flash for custom firmware and audio content. In addition there is a microSD card connector for additional content.
