New Products From X2O Media at CETW 2010
At CETW 2010, X2O Media will showcase a new Microsoft® PowerPoint® add-in that greatly simplifies the content creation process, allowing users to build their own wayfinder maps for corporate facilities, campuses, airports, public venues, and more. With the new wayfinder add-in, users of X2O's Xpresenter™ digital signage platform can easily import floor plans and create digital, interactive wayfinder maps — with start and end points and animated directional arrows that indicate the path — directly inside PowerPoint and publish them to the X2O network. The maps can include a video or an image for both start and end points, and on-the-go signage viewers can even e-mail directions to themselves directly from the interactive screen.

Imec sets up R&D activity in Taiwan
Imec Taiwan today signed the co-funding contract with the Taiwanese Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) for its R&D activity Imec Taiwan Innovation Centre (ITIC). ITIC's goal is to expedite applied research projects with industry and academia that will result in electronic designs, components and technology solutions. Photon Energy To Install 1.23MW Solyndra Project in Prague
Solyndra announced that Photon Energy has signed an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) agreement for a 1.23 MWp Solyndra project and begun installation on multiple rooftops in Prague, Czech Republic. Novacento a.s. obtained the permission to install solar systems on these roofs which are primarily school and nursery buildings. The project is the largest Solyndra installation in Eastern Europe.

Volex Works In Partnership With Huawei To Supply Broadband Equipment To Telecoms Operator OI In Brazil
Volex Group plc, the global electrical and electronic cable assemblies group, has been selected by global telecom solutions provider Huawei, to deliver copper broadband cable assemblies to form part of the broadband infrastructure equipment the company supplies to telecommunications provider Oi for its operations in Brazil. Volex will manufacture 100% of the 25,600 cable assemblies required as part of the larger solution delivered by Huawei to enable Oi to provide over half a million new subscribers with broadband between now and the end of October 2010.

Wind River and Alcatel-Lucent Collaborate to Boost Wireless Network Performance

Prestigious Indian institute places multiple orders
