Smart homes over TCP/IP — EnOcean Alliance members present new solutions at this year's CeBIT
At CeBIT 2011 (1-5 March) three members of the EnOcean Alliance will present smart solutions for energy-efficient buildings enabled by EnOcean's energy harvesting technology. CSR Announces Merger With Zoran Corporation
CSR and Zoran Corporation ("Zoran": NASDAQ: ZRAN) have entered into a merger agreement (the "Merger Agreement") under which Zoran will merge with CSR (the "Merger") for an equity value equivalent to approximately US$679 million* (the "Transaction Value"). Under the terms of the Merger Agreement, it is proposed that Zoran shareholders will receive 1.85 ordinary shares of CSR in the form of American Depositary Shares (each an "ADS"), , for each share of Zoran common stock held. In addition, CSR announces that it intends to return up to US$240 million to shareholders via an on-market share buyback programme (the "Share Buyback").

ZTE and NXP Announce NFC Availability in Next Generation Handsets
NXP and ZTE Corporation, (H share stock code: 0763.HK / A share stock code: 000063.SZ), a leading global provider of telecommunications equipment and network solutions, today announced a partnership to incorporate NXP's Near Field Communications (NFC) PN544 technology into ZTE handsets. NXP and Giesecke & Devrient Enable Mass Deployment
NXP and security specialist Giesecke & Devrient (G&D) today announced the full validation of a joint software solution offering secure interfaces between the handset, NFC functionality and secure elements such as the SIM card. This solution enables NFC to be integrated securely into mobile handsets based on the Android platform and other operating systems. In addition, the validated software will meet the needs of mobile network operators who are specifically demanding secure elements within the handset. The first Android handset supporting this enhanced functionality is expected to be launched during the second quarter of 2011.

Picochip leads the femtocell industry at MWC

Oxford Instruments Installs its 1000th X-Max

UL Environment Expands Portfolio with Addition of GREENGUARD Certification Programs
