Kingston HyperX: Two new world records achieved in memory overclocking

Kingston Technology Europe Ltd has announced that the Swiss overclocking community Ocaholic.ch has once more achieved two new world records with world's fastest dual channel memory kit Kingston The two new records for RAM modules were set on 20th October 2011 by two Swiss overclockers Roger Tanner alias splmann and Marc Voser alias Besi during IM.TOP – the in-house trade fair of Swiss distributors Ingram Micro in Lucerne. This means that at CAS 6 (Column Address Strobe Latency) 3095 MHz was achieved and at CAS 8, 3175 MHz was achieved. These are the fastest frequencies ever achieved for memory with CAS 6 and CAS 8. To achieve such a clock speed the memory modules were cooled with liquid nitrogen. For this purpose the memory slots were fixed in a cooler made from aluminium and copper. The cooler has a basin at the top which was filled with the -196°C liquid nitrogen.
