MindTree Starts Work on New 20 acre Campus in Bhubaneswar
Global IT and product engineering services Company MindTree Limited, has started work on its new 20-acre campus, to be named MindTree Kalinga, in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Architects, Chandavarkar & Associates have designed the 20-acre campus taking a cue from the ancient architectural principles behind local temples and applied them to a modern design. The campus is being built in a phased approach and the first phase of 200,000 square feet will be completed in 2013. The total size is expected to be around 800,000 square feet and will take between 5-7 years to complete.

Apache Design’s RTL Power Model Technology Honored with DesignCon 2012 Award
A technology from Apache Design, Inc. — an ANSYS subsidiary — has earned a prestigious award celebrating innovative electronics tools that simplify customer design processes. RTL Power Model (RPM) won DesignCon 2012's DesignVision Award in the System Modeling and Simulation Tools category. 27 of 33 IC Product Categories Will See Market Growth in 2012
IC Insights forecasts that 27 of the 33 major IC product categories defined by WSTS will experience growth in 2012, with 11 segments expected to grow better than the 7% forecast for the total IC industry. Six categories are forecast to show double-digit growth. The numbers stand in sharp contrast to the 15 products that showed positive growth and 18 that experienced a decline in 2011

Cliff Electronics Wins Court Case over Counterfeit Products
CLIFF Electronics, has won a long and complex court case to protect its trademark and products sold in the USA from counterfeiting. In 2008 Cliff Electronics discovered that a Cliff-branded product returned under complaint from an end user was not manufactured by an authorized Cliff company or in any Cliff production facility. Cliff launched an investigation and was surprised to discover that the product in question had been cloned by Cliff Hong Kong and marketed by Cliff Electronic Components, Inc., which was at that time Cliff UK's official distributor in the USA.
