Kalio's KalioSocial Application Allows customers to sell directly on Facebook

Leading ecommerce software provider Kalio Inc. (www.kalioinc.com) today unveiled the latest addition to its growing suite of solutions – KalioSocial, a powerful new tool that allows online merchants using the industry leading KalioCommerce ecommerce platform to merchandise directly on Facebook Platform. Kalio, with offices in Cupertino, Calif., and Covington, Ky. in Greater Cincinnati, made the announcement at the Internet Retailer Conference & Exhibition in San Diego.
“The power of social commerce is coming, and Kalio is ready,” said Kalio chairman and chief executive officer Jonathan Lee. “With this latest release, our customers can tap into the growing influence of Facebook and its members.”
In conjunction with the announcement, Kalio announced that any new Facebook member that likes the company on Facebook (www.facebook.com/kaliocommunity) would be in line to receive a new white paper on social commerce as well as be entered for a drawing for a new Apple iPad.

With more than 500 million people who are members, Facebook is one of the most trafficked websites in the United States.
One estimate from Forrester predicts that direct sales through Facebook will reach $15 billion by the year 2015. Kalio’s Facebook app is an extension of the powerful KalioCommerce application – which also can connect existing ecommerce sites to social sites.
