24 May 2012
KEMET Corporation today announced that it was named as the President's Award winner for 2012 by Rockwell Collins. The top honor was presented at the Rockwell Collins Annual Supplier Conference, which took place on May 1, 2012.
“It is a great honor and privilege to receive the Rockwell Collins President’s Award for 2012,” said John Drabik, KEMET Vice President, Sales – Americas. “I am certainly proud of our team, which has worked so hard to enjoy this level of partnership with Rockwell Collins. At KEMET, we place top priority on our customers and meeting their needs. This award validates our efforts and commitment.”
The President’s Award is one of five Capstone Awards presented by Rockwell Collins each year. For 28 years, the President’s Award has served as an acknowledgement of significant contributions made over the past year based upon quality, delivery, total cost of ownership, lead time and customer service. Additional criteria for this Capstone Award include commitment to technology development, innovation and continuous improvement through Lean processes.
“KEMET has consistently met or exceeded our requirements, due in large part to its close working relationship with our company,” said Kevin Myers, Vice President, Material and Supply for Rockwell Collins. “It’s a living example of our philosophy to work collaboratively with suppliers to drive performance and innovation, which ultimately leads to cutting-edge, cost-effective solutions for our customers.”
