Z-Wave alliance partner participates in an energy management project involving co-operation with the Danish energy group SEAS-NVE
Z-Wave alliance partner GreenWave Reality has been selected by one of Denmark's largest energy provider – SEAS-NVE– to assist with a special energy saving campaign. Since the middle of the year, selected customers have been provided with GreenWave Reality's energy management platform free of charge. The energy display enables house and apartment owners to read off and analyse at a glance all relevant information about their home electricity, water and gas consumption. In order to allow the solution to be incorporated into a home control network, GreenWave Reality has integrated Z-Wave technology into its new energy display. In 2012 all SEAS-NVE customers will be able to benefit from the SmartHome solution.

SOLARCON India Advances Solar Workforce Development Initiatives in India
SEMI India will host the third edition of SOLARCON India, the region's premier solar business and technology focused industry exposition and international conference from November 9 to 11 at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre in Hyderabad, India. SDG&E signs new contracts with Soitec for 125 megawatts of solar power in San Diego
San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) and subsidiaries of Soitec Solar Development, LLC, a renewable energy company managed by Soitec (Euronext Paris), today announced the signing of two additional 25-year contracts for a total of 125 megawatts (MW) of solar energy to be generated in the utility's service territory. Pfizer Animal Health Cuts Co2 Emissions With Sunswitch And Solyndra
Solyndra LLC, a manufacturer of cylindrical photovoltaic (PV) systems for large commercial rooftops, today announced that SunSwitch, a Certified Solyndra Solution Provider, has completed a 205kWp rooftop solar system installation on the rooftop of the Pfizer Global Supply site in the Walloon region of Belgium. Nazca Completes Second Solyndra Rooftop Installation In France

Infineon and Goldwind Sign a License Agreement on IGBT Stack Technology to Serve the Wind Power Market
Infineon Technologies and Xinjiang Goldwind Science and Technology Co., Ltd., the Chinese leader in R&D and manufacturing of wind power equipments, today signed a license agreement for core components needed in manufacturing of wind turbines. According to the agreement, Goldwind gains the license to produce Infineon IGBT (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) stacks used in converters of MW (Megawatt)-grade wind turbines. Furthermore, Infineon will supply IGBT stacks to Goldwind. IGBTs are power semiconductors which enable the efficient conversion of the variable frequency output from the generator to a fixed frequency appropriate for the grid in the region concerned.
