Low-power embedded radio modem with Reed-Solomon error correction for long-range applications
Circuit Design has recently developed and released a 434 MHz low-power radio modem, the MU-2-R. Circuit Design's MU series are modems for embedding in industrial equipment. They incorporate the RF circuit required for radio communication and a CPU for control, and data is exchanged with an external CPU using the UART serial interface based on commands.
Aonix Teams with RTI on Data Distribution for Secure Systems
Aonix, the provider of the PERC product line for embedded and real-time Java developers, announced that it is partnering with Real-Time Innovations (RTI) to provide integrated standards-based data distribution services to PERC Ultra for the Wind River Systems VxWorks MILS platform. KickStart Kit for Toshiba ARM Cortex-M3 accelerates embedded design
IAR Systems has announced the release of a new, low-cost development kit for the ARM® Cortex-M3 in partnership with Toshiba. Toshiba became the first Japanese semiconductor manufacturer to develop a 32-bit ARM Cortex-M3 core-based microcontroller unit (MCU) when it released the TMPM330FDFG in late 2008. It leveraged the Cortex-M3 core to create a high-performance, low-power general-purpose MCU device with a large Flash memory, a real time clock, a 10-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC), and a 3-channel SIO/UART, all housed in a compact LQFP package. These features mean that the TMPM330FDFG is optimized for use in consumer, industrial, security and general low power applications.
IAR Systems to showcase products for wireless System Development at ESC
IAR Systems will use the Embedded Systems Conference (ESC), in San Jose, California, as a stage on which to present its embedded tools for wireless system development. IAR Systems has partnered with microcontroller manufacturers Atmel and Texas Instruments to provide visitors to the show with working examples of how its hardware and software development tools for can be utilized in wireless applications.
