Arrow announces free European technical support for Microsoft Windows Embedded Standard 7

Arrow Electronics has announced agreements with MPC Data and Adeneo Embedded that will allow the distributor to offer European customers the possibility of free technical support when designing products based on Microsoft Windows Embedded Standard 7 (WES7).
Providing a variety of system integration, training and design services, MPC Data and Adeneo Embedded are embedded systems specialists with Windows Embedded Gold Partner status. Under the terms of the agreement with Arrow the two companies will provide qualifying Arrow customers with free technical support across Europe.
“Embedded systems developers are increasingly looking to the distribution channel for technical and design-in support,” states Andy Smith, the Microsoft Supplier Business Manager (EMEA) at Arrow Electronics. “By partnering with two leading embedded specialists, both of whom have Gold Partner status in the Microsoft Windows Embedded Partner program, we can provide customers with access to high-quality support services that will speed and simplify the design, development and implementation of their Windows Embedded solutions.”
Alan Rowe of MPC Data also comments: “We already work extensively with Arrow providing support services and training for customers in the UK and the Nordic region. The new agreement will allow Arrow customers to get to market faster, with lower risk, and improved cost effectiveness in their Windows Embedded projects.”
Adeneo Embedded’s Yannick Chammings adds: “With many years of collaboration with Arrow both in Europe and North America, providing free technical support for customers is the next stage in an ongoing relationship that already successfully delivers collaborative training and support services to Arrow customers.”
To apply for free support customers will have to first purchase an appropriate Microsoft Windows Embedded Toolkit from Arrow. In addition to covering Microsoft WES7 designs, under the terms of the agreements MPC Data and Adeneo Embedded can also offer support for Microsoft Windows Embedded Compact 7 and other Microsoft Windows embedded technologies.
