8.5in wide TFT LCD module with touch panel

Trident has announced the introduction of the 8.5in TFT LCD display from Toshiba. This new wide screen is available with or without touch and the versatility of this TFT enables it to be used in a range of applications such as mobile, computing, medical, or industrial.

The LTA085C185F provides customers with a WVGA 800 x 480 resolution and a wide viewing angle of 120 degrees horizontally and 100 degrees vertically making it ideal for viewing clear and vibrant images. The display features a brightness of 270cd/m squared and a contrast ratio of 450:1.

It offers a wide operating temperature range between -20 and +70 degrees C and the module outline dimensions are a compact 224 (W) x 135 (H) x 11.5 (D)mm. The LTA085C184F offers the panel with an integrated 4 wire resistive touch screen.

This display features polysilicon technology, is fully RoHS compliant and Toshiba are guaranteeing to support this module for at least three years in order to satisfy customer’s long term product planning requirements.
