New COQOS release benefits from avionics certified micro-kernel

OpenSynergy presented the new version of the automotive software framework COQOS on the International Consumer Electronics Show 2011 (CES). The new release of COQOS (release 10.12) now includes the micro-kernel of SYSGO's PikeOS. This micro-kernel has been designed for safety- and security-critical applications and has already been certified according to stringent avionics standards such as DO-178B. Therefore COQOS now can be applied in automotive ECUs with increased requirements on safety and security. The existing certifications of the underlying micro-kernel PikeOS from SYSGO will facilitate compliance to automotive safety and security standards.
