DC-DC Converter Family has 6 to 30W Applications Covered

Powersolve has announced a family of Industrial DC-DC converters that will suit a very wide range of applications requiring nominal 12V, 24V or 48V DC inputs. Manufactured by Astec, the new family comprises five series of DC-DC converters with outputs from 6 to 30 W.

There are no less than 68 models across the five series all featuring high efficiency levels, industry standard pin outs and short circuit protection.

The ASA 6W and 10W Series are in a 24 pin DIL Package with single & dual DC outputs for the 6W version of 3.3V, 5V, 12V, 15V, +/-5V, +/-12V or +/-15V. The 10W models feature single outputs of 2.5V, 3.5V, 5V or 12V DC.

The AEE series 15W devices comprises of 14 models. They have an industry standard footprint of 50.8 x 25.4mm and have single outputs of 3.3V, 5V, 12V or 15V DC and dual outputs +/-5V, +/-12V or +/-15V DC with input voltages of 9-36V or 36-75V DC.

There are also 14 models in both the 20W AET and 30W AET series. These are Industry Standard 50.8 x 40.64mm devices and, like the AEE series, there are single and dual output versions available. Again, input voltage range is between 9-36V DC and 36-75V DC.

Operating temperature is from -40 to +71ºC with no derating, with exception of the ASA 10W series which is -40 to +60 ºC. All models have a demonstrated MTBF in excess of 1 million hours.
