New Ohmite heatsinks accommodate TO-126 devices
Combining high thermal performance, labour-saving attachment mechanisms and adaptability, the new C Series range of heatsinks from Ohmite has been extended to include a version for TO-126 devices. Camming clips which eliminate the need for mounting holes and screws, are resilient and provide the same amount of force after repeated use.
Dispose of the Cost of Disposal
Rittal understand that to supply an improved cooling solution is only half of the battle. There is also the question of how do clients dispose of the old cooling units? Rittal can solve this problem if the cooling units are old, inefficient, require frequent maintenance or are not working at all then. A new Rittal cooling system may help to save both time and energy.
Rittal extends service portfolio
Rittal now offer a thermal analyses service for data centres. On average, approximately 18 percent of the energy costs occurring in data centres are consumed by cooling systems. An optimised climate control system can cut energy costs.
New Ohmite heatsinks designed for higher power densities
By adding a cam-clip and eliminating the need for a screw hole, the rear side of Ohmite's new R Series heatsink benefits from being fully populated with extra fins which provide a larger cooling surface area and a significant improvement in thermal performance while using less space.
Energy efficient cooling using ambient air
Rittal continue to expand their range of TopTherm fan and filter units with a 230V AC 900m3/h variant. The entire range of fan and filter units utilise a diagonal fan to provide improved performance against increased static pressure difference. In turn, this offers greater energy efficiency and a more constant air throughput, effectively minimising the occurrence of hot spots. The new product is also fitted with an electronically commutated (EC) motor to further reduce power consumption.
Now, simple temperature control of AC fans
The life expectancy of a component is dramatically reduced if it is operated at above its optimum operating temperature and over-cooling is energy inefficient. The Green Fan Cord from Wisconsin-based fan accessory specialist Gardtec, is the only fan supply cable available that can thermostatically control AC fans.
Panel thermostats increase system reliability and performance
Finder has announced the introduction of a pair of panel thermostats designed to maintain constant temperature levels in control panels and enclosures. Suiting the needs of both simple and sophisticated heating and ventilation systems, the 7T Series thermostats help to improve component reliability and preserve instrumentation accuracy through enhanced temperature setting and control.
New BGA Heatsink Range Launched
Improved thermal performance is achievable at low cost now that ABL Components has launched a new suite of BGA (Ball Grid Array) heatsink products to complement its existing range. The company already supplies much of the UK heatsink market and, following new product developments in recent years, has also substantially increased its overseas sales, being specified by many OEMs around the world.
Energy efficient enclosure climate control
Rittal continue to improve the energy efficiency of enclosure climate control solutions by incorporating ever more innovative technologies into their cooling products. The Eco-mode control system from Rittal employs an intelligent strategy to effectively target the use of energy by disabling the internal fan when the temperature inside the enclosure falls to 10° K below the setpoint temperature. The fan is then enabled for a period of 30 seconds every 10 minutes to ensure the accuracy of the sensed temperature. When the temperature rises above 10° K below the setpoint, the fan is permanently enabled.
New Generation ‘Blue e’ enclosure cooling units from Rittal
Rittal are converting their entire range of cooling units with Comfort controller to the new Generation 'Blue e'. The intelligent, targeted use of energy using the innovative eco-mode control system from Rittal, together with the use of energy efficient EC fan technology, provide increased energy savings, reduced costs and help to conserve the environment.
