Analog Devices has expanded its industry-leading isolated interface product portfolio with two transceivers that are the first to isolate both data signals and power for systems using the CAN (control-area network) communications bus. Linear Technology introduced the LTM9004 and LTM9005, two breakthrough RF-to-digital µModule® receivers that integrate the key components for 3G and 4G base station receivers (WCDMA,TD-SCDMA, LTE, etc.) and smart antenna WiMAX base stations. The integrated µModule receivers offer a dramatic reduction in board space, integrating the RF mixer/demodulator, amplifiers, passive filtering and 14-bit, 125Msps ADCs in one conveniently small package. The LTM9004 implements a direct conversion architecture with an I/Q demodulator, low-pass filter and a dual ADC. The LTM9005 implements an IF-sampling architecture with a downconverting mixer, SAW filter and a single ADC. Infineon introduced an enhanced family of three wireless control receivers offering highest available sensitivity and low power consumption. Texas Instruments introduced the industry's first SuperSpeed USB (USB 3.0) transceiver, which is capable of lightning-fast data transfers when compared to USB High-Speed devices (USB 2.0). Featuring receiver sensitivity that is twice as good as required by the USB 3.0 specification, the TUSB1310's PIPE3 and ULPI interfaces enable USB 3.0 functionality when used in conjunction with the integrated application processor digital cores.
