MSC,

Quad-band GSM/GPRS Class 12 module with only 1.1 mA current consumption and 85.6 kbps uplink speed

News Release from: MSC VERTRIEBS GMBH
05 April 2011

MSC now offers the M-10 Quad-band GSM/GPRS module from Quectel. The M-10 is a complete GSM/GPRS 850/900/1800/1900 MHz solution and is ideally suited for machine-to-machine (M2M) applications which require a robust construction and low power consumption.

Quad-band GSM/GPRS Class 12 module with only 1.1 mA current consumption and 85.6 kbps uplink speedThe Class 12 module features include an extremely low current consumption of 1.1 mA @ DRX=5 and a high uplink speed of 85.6 kbps. Furthermore the M-10 64-pin SMD module, with a size of 29 mm x 29 mm x 3.6 mm and equipped with a UART interface, is designed for a temperature range from -40°C to +85°C (Class B). As with all modules from Quectel, the M-10 complies fully with the RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) regulations.

Due to its extended temperature range, the Quad-band frequency spectrum and extensive software support - which in addition to stacks for TCP/IP, UDP, FTP, http, MMS and SMTP also contains applications such as FOTA, DTMF and Base Station Positioning - the M-10 module can be used internationally in almost all fields of data transmission and also for cost-effective remote monitoring and control of machinery, equipment, etc.
