25kHz Narrowband Transceiver from Radiometrix

News Release from: Radiometrix Ltd
12 December 2008

The TR3M has been developed by the team of wireless communications experts at Radiometrix. It is high-end multi-channel narrowband transceiver that operates in the European 868MHz band (though custom variants for any 3MHz frequency block from 860-870MHz are available on request). It supports data rates of up to 5kbits/s, and has a usable range of over 500m. Employing a 1200baud dumb modem it allows transmission across 80 different channels.

Current consumption is 85mA for the transmitter and 30mA for the receiver, while the receiver sensitivity is -118dBm (for 12 dB SINAD). The module fits into a compact 59x38x10mm package. It conforms fully to EN 300 220-3 and EN 301 489-3:

This product is highly suited to low power applications where existing wideband modules have insufficient range, or where an upgrade to multi-channel operation is needed. It can be incorporated into the system designs and communication infrastructure of handheld terminals, heavy vehicle/machine remote controls, barcode scanners, data loggers, industrial telemetry/telecommand, environmental monitoring equipment, high-end security/fire alarms, and vehicle data up/download.
