Bryant Unlimited has extended it's pre-eminence in the provision of infrastructure and camera cabling with the launch of a mobile fibre laboratory service for broadcast and professional video OEMs and System Integrators. Bryant Unlimited is an established UK volume manufacturer of optical cable assemblies and has steadily expanded its internal fibre optic termination facilities to meet a growing demand whilst continuing to support traditional copper infrastructure production requirements.
This unique new partnership with Zero Psi now provides onsite support for fibre optic infrastructure.
The Mobile Fibre Laboratory is a purpose built utility vehicle that provides a controlled environment together with state of the art production, test and repair equipment to enable fibre optic termination, installation and repair on-site or in the field. The mobile fibre laboratory can operate independently using its own on board power unit allowing its use in remote locations. Portable termination facilities are also available to provide support for fixed infrastructure installation and repairs.
The mobile unit is fully configured to support and terminate LEMO - 3K.93C SMPTE 311M HDTV hybrid cable assemblies and associated products using the F2 optical ferrule and can provide support for tactical deployable fibre optic assemblies from LEMO, Neutrik - opticalCON Duo and Quad and also expanded beam. Fusion splice capabilities provide support for installation and rapid repair of both premise fibre optic infrastructure and deployable tactical assemblies. The mobile fibre laboratory can be whistled-up to offer onsite support facilities for production companies broadcasting major sporting events such as the 2012 Olympics, Golf or Football.
Bryant was started in 1980 as a manufacturer and stockist of Broadcast Systems Integration equipment, before changing its name to Bryant Unlimited in 2010 to enter a new decade with a broader product/service purview. Zero PSI was founded in 2009 by Peter Munday who has 28 years experience in customer support and sales for the broadcast market place working with both active and passive fibre optics products including signal transport systems and harsh environment fibre optic infrastructure. Peter's partner in Zero Psi, Sean Thornber's background is 25 years in IT and network consultancy having been a co-founder and operations director of 3net Ltd working with such companies as Cisco, Cable and Wireless, Sun Microsystems and IBM.
