06 August 2010

Tyco Electronics announced today the publication of its 2010 Circuit Protection Product Catalog. Expanded to include in-depth information on several new product lines, the catalog presents technical specifications and application information on PolySwitch resettable devices, PolyZen devices, 2Pro devices, polymer ESD (PESD) and silicon ESD (SESD) protection devices, chip fuses and gas discharge tubes.

Intended to assist users in selecting the appropriate circuit protection devices, the catalog includes sections on the fundamentals of overcurrent and overvoltage protection and also describes how these devices are used in automotive, communications, multimedia, portable electronics, industrial, appliance and HVAC applications. Circuit diagrams, dimensional drawings and electrical characteristics are provided to help design engineers size and specify the best device for their specific application. This edition also references the latest safety agency approvals and environmental specifications to aid in the design process.

This catalog describes our expanded product portfolio and reflects Tyco Electronics' commitment to delivering a broad range of innovative, integrated and coordinated circuit protection solutions to our customers worldwide, said Guillemette Paour, Global Marketing Communications Manager.

The 2010 Circuit Protection Catalog has been published in both print and electronic versions, and is available for download or request at www.circuitprotection.com/literature.asp.
