HARTING provides connectivity solution for U2’s giant 360º LED screen
HARTING has provided a connectivity solution for the World's first transformable 360º LED screen used on the latest concert tour for the world-renowned rock band U2. The LED screen, developed by Barco, surrounds the band while they are performing, and can change shape in all directions during concerts. This revolutionary approach to video measures 24 x 16 metres, and incorporates more than 500,000 pixels, making it the biggest LED screen ever used in concert touring.

Molex - Weatherproof Mid-Range Power Connector
Molex Incorporated has introduced the Mini-Fit H2O weatherproof, compact connection system designed for wire-to-wire applications of up to 9.0A per circuit. The Mini-Fit H2O connector system is IP67-rated, which ensures connector integrity when submersed in up to one metre of water. The product family consists of plug and receptacle assemblies and male and female crimp terminals. The plug and receptacle assemblies are equipped with pre-installed interface and wire seals, providing engineers with a lower applied cost compared to connectors with manually installed seals.
Power connector with PushPull locking for device connectivity
Han PushPull Power from HARTING is a new, extremely compact 5-pole power connector with voltage and current ratings up to 690 V and 16 A, respectively. Building upon the existing cross-license for MULTI-BEAM XL and PwrBlade connectors in place since 2000, this new license will create a certified second source for the higher performing MULTI-BEAM XLE connectors. Yamaichi Electronics has enlarged its portfolio of board-to-board and board-to-cable connecters with two new connector types, MatchCon and BoardFit. The MatchCon connectors are described here. The new MatchCon connectors (MBP/MBS series) are characterized by a special contact design which is particularly qualified for applications with strong vibration exposure, e.g. in the automotive area. Due to positioning springs the male and female contacts interlock strongly so that the typical fretting of tin-plated contacts can be eliminated through the high contact force.
