Ultra-slim, 15-way VGA Connector

Edac has added to its range of D-Subminiature products with an ultra-slim, 15 circuit, high-density, R/A, VGA connector. The insulator thickness, behind the front shell, is just 4.7mm.

The new connector has been designed for video card / graphics applications but will provide the same space saving benefits whatever the board function.

The board space required for the pin-out of this connector (excluding location pins and board locks) measures 2.2mm x 11.37mm. Excluding the board locks the overall width is just under 31mm.

To provide the maximum rigidity in-use, Edac has incorporated two threaded inserts, two board-locks and a pair of locating pins into the design of the connector. Pin 9 on this connector is recessed to allow hot-plugging.

It is a RoHS compliant product suitable for high temperature assembly environments.
