Tyco Electronics Shuttered duplex LC adapters for high-powered applications

A family of shuttered duplex LC adapters has been added to Tyco Electronics' line of LC connectors and adapters. This product is designed for the low profile, SC cut-out adapter and includes a slip-on retractable cover within the standard cut-out for enhanced eye protection. It is suitable for high-powered applications and serves the data communication and telecommunication industries.

“A unique feature of the slide-on shutter provides for eye safety without changing the board cut-out,” says Paula A. Trindell, product manager. “In addition, its convenient single door design allows for an effortless one-handed connector installation.”

Available product offerings include flanged and flangeless plastic configuration, secure adapters, and metal flanged adapter styles.
