News Release from:
Omnetics Connector Corporation.
19 February 2009
Omnetics Connector Corporation has announced that it has signed a UK deal with new Portsmouth-based repping company AndTrace. Founded last year, AndTrace brings a wealth of experience in all functions concerned with electronic connector design-in and sales, and the company has already facilitated a franchise deal between Omnetics and leading F1 distributor, Servo Interconnect Ltd.
Explains Gary Evans, European Sales Manager: “AndTrace founder Andy Jefkins has a long and successful background in connector design, support and sales in the UK. He is well-known in the industry and I expect that AndTrace will be able to introduce our range of innovative miniature connectors into many new UK projects.”
Adds Andy Jefkins: “Omnetics’ range of 0.635mm (0.025in) pitch nano Bi-lobe® connectors are small and light, and extremely rugged, surpassing military specifications. Designers looking for miniature interconnection systems that ensure reliable signal integrity and transmission will be excited by Omnetics’ product range.”
In a separate deal, Omnetics has signed a franchise distribution deal with Servo Interconnect Ltd covering the motor sport market. Comments Evans: “Servo provides the commitment and education required by the autosport, truck, bus and off-highway markets which are increasingly favouring our connectors.”
