Rittal TopTherm Fan and Filter units
Using diagonal fan technology to increase the working back pressure, Rittal's new TopTherm fan and filter units provide an increased and more stable airflow, even with contaminated filters. Diagonal air flow offers a greater spread of air within the enclosure thus reducing the possibility of hot spots and has the effect of requiring fewer maintenance intervals for the replacement of filter mats.

Verotec KM6 HD subrack
Designed for use in rail, military, aerospace and other harsh environments where electronic equipment will be subject to shock and vibration during use, the ruggedised KM6-HD subrack system from Verotec is designed to meet MIL-STD 167, the US Department of Defence Test Method Standard. Manufactured as standard in 3U, 6U and 9U heights, depths of 160mm, 220mm and 400mm and in 42HP half and 84HP full widths, the IEEE 1101.10/11 compliant KM6-HD 19" subrack features positive guide locking and retention, heavy-duty front and rear tiebar extrusions with two screw fixing, 3mm thick side plates and rack mounting angles and a conductive finish throughout. KM6-HD meets the requirements of VME64X, VPX, cPCI and similar open architecture specifications.
New CompactPCI Serial system features high-speed data transfer capability
New from electronics packaging specialist Schroff is a complete 4U, 9-slot subrack system based on the recently released CompactPCI Serial specification. The system takes full advantage of the specification's high-speed serial bus topology to deliver a data transfer rate of up to 32Gbit/s via PCIe, 10GbE, S-ATA, USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 interfaces.

Rittal Latest Power Engineering Software v5.0
A new version of the Rittal Power engineering software for the design and calculation of busbar systems and Motor Control Centres (MCC's) is now available. This new version allows the configuration and planning of busbar systems in TS 8 enclosures and at the same time create documentation and calculate heat loss for the project. It is also possible to combine Ri4Power in Form 1-4b and also use flat busbars for Form 1. The existing design and calculation of Form 4b MCC'S remains unchanged.

DEM Manufacturing has announced that its latest range of IP67 and IP68 aluminium enclosures has now been upgraded to include enhanced EMI and RFI protection. Air routing for Rittal roof mounted TopTherm Plus cooling units
When using Rittal TopTherm-Plus roof mounted cooling units it is advisable to use the air duct system to ensure proper routing of the chilled air within the enclosure. It is possible to target the cold air directly to specific areas of the enclosure and ensure chilled air is not blowing directly at the exhaust of hot components. Using the air duct system can also reduce the risk of "short circuits" in the air supply that can reduce cooling unit efficiency.

Rittal has responded to customer requests by updating their online subrack configurator. No longer limited to only those units shown in the catalogue, the subrack configurator now includes all the subracks possible from the parts in the product range. Schroff 40kW enclosure heat exchanger
The new Varistar LHX40 air/water heat exchanger from Schroff is capable of removing up to 40 kW of waste heat per cabinet, enabling increased server density of high performance blades without the risk of local hot spots or high overall ambient temperatures developing. The side-mounted unit fits to the left or right side of any 42U high 1200mm deep cabinet. At only 200mm wide, it will fit comfortably into a standard 800mm wide enclosure, enabling full width 19" front panel equipment to be housed. The unit can either be used as a closed loop device to cool a single cabinet fitted with solid front and rear doors, or, by fitting the host cabinet with ventilated doors, it can function as an in-row cooler within a suite of server cabinets. The LHX40, although deeper, has the same height and depth dimensions as the 20kW LHX20 unit, thereby providing a simple retrofit solution for users who need to have increased cooling capacity in existing 1200mm deep cabinets.

Hammond Manufacturing Co. Ltd. launches the new swing-out wall mount cabinet, a new addition to its already popular line of wall mount racking products. The new Hammond Wall Mount (HWM) cabinet was designed with the technical professional in mind. 2U cPCI and VME64x rack mount or desktop integrated chassis
Verotec has introduced a 2U EMC screened, thermally managed and powered IEEE 1101.10/11 desktop or rack mount 19" chassis unit that can be supplied with either a horizontally mounted 6U 4 Slot cPCI or a 6U 4 Slot VME64x backplane. The cPCI backplane is available as a 64 bit, PICMG 2.0 R3.0 compliant unit with a right-hand controller slot at the top, rear plug connectors in P3, P4 and P5 and selectable coded I/O in both a standard and CT/H.110 versions, or as a PICMG 2.16 packet switching unit. The VME64x backplane is ANSI/VITA 1.1-1997 compliant, with active on-board termination, electronic auto bus grant and centre P0/J0 connectors.
