Versatile new 19in. cabinet combines robustness with stylish design

The new Novastar cabinet from electronics packaging specialist Schroff provides a robust enclosure for 19in. rack-mount equipment, coupled with a stylish design that blends harmoniously into almost any working environment. Built around a strong yet lightweight die-cast aluminium frame, the cabinet is available in standard and heavy-duty versions offering static load-carrying capacities of 200kg and 400kg respectively.
It can be used either without a door – to allow unhindered access to the front of the mounted 19in. equipment – or with a steel or fully glazed door, both of which feature an opening angle of 180 degrees.
Accessibility is further enhanced by the quick-release side panels, which are recessed flush with the front and rear uprights to keep the overall cabinet width down to a space-saving 553mm.
Offering a versatile solution for a wide variety of applications, Novastar can be specified in over 20 different colours and is available in an extensive range of standard sizes, with heights up to 47U (2145mm) and depths of 500, 600 or 800mm.
Good mobility is ensured by a choice of four different castor designs, including one with built-in adjustable feet and one anti-static version made from conductive material. A T-slot integrated into the heavy-duty cabinet frame enables a support-arm system to be attached, e.g. for a monitor.
Available accessories include fixed or pull-out shelves, slide rails, lifting eyes, a stacking kit and a side-by-side mounting kit. In addition, the Novastar cabinet can be supplied with custom cut-outs, drilling or special printing – and there are no minimum order quantities.
