Elma moves to new 30,000 sq. ft. green field facility

Elma Electronic, manufacturer of commercial, ruggedised and COTS enclosures, subracks, backplanes and systems, has moved into a new 30,000 sq. ft. purpose-built green field facility in Bedford. The new facility brings together under one roof the Elma Electronic commercial products business, which has relocated from Hampshire, and the Mektron Systems ruggedised systems business.

Providing state of the art facilities for staff and improved capabilities for customers, an in-house EMC test chamber, additional test facilities, dedicated machine shop and prototype development areas enable modified standard and custom products to be brought to market with the minimum of delay.

The building is fitted with future-proofed data and voice networks, multiple redundancy servers running key business systems and state of the art security precautions - including a sealed, secure area for defence and integration projects.

Email addresses remain unchanged; the existing telephone numbers will be redirected for six months and a new general telephone number, + 44 (0)1234 838822, has been allocated.
