Significant advance in compression lock technology from FDBThe new Snap-Line compression latch from FDB Panel Fittings is believed to be a significant advance in compression lock technology. Combining as it does quick snap-in design and planetary roller cam motion which enables soft compression of door gaskets from 10mm to 20mm, this new half-turn IP65 latch is expected to find favour with designers, manufacturers and installers of vibration prone control equipment. This is expected to include construction machinery, process plant, motor vehicles, railway rolling stock, HVAC installations, much manufacturing equipment and materials handling machines where electrical or electronic enclosures are needed.

Rittal guide rails can be varied in lengthRittal has introduced two ranges of guide rails for Printed Circuit Boards which can be made to suit any depth of PCB insertion. Utilising plastic end pieces which include a funnel entry to ease PCB insertion, the new guides can be equipped with clips to discharge static charges from the board prior to full insertion. Rittal announce 2kW Cool Efficiency unitFollowing the successful launch of Rittal's new cool efficiency 1kW DIN EN ISO 14021 cooling unit earlier this year, Rittal has now added a 2kW unit to the portfolio. The cool efficiency products are up to 45% more economical than conventional cooling units of the same cooling output in both running costs and CO2 emissions. Rittal - Plug-in modules for PSM railsRittal has extended its Power System Module (PSM) range to allow the power consumption of individual servers and peripheral hardware to be measured per socket. New plug-in modules for PSM rails record the individual currents for each socket and show the power consumption of the devices connected via three coloured LEDs on the right-hand side. A second LED on the left-hand side of the outgoing slots provides an overview of the overall power of the module. The presentation logic is automatically adjusted to the mounting position to rule out any misinterpretation.
