Handbook gives tips on private equity investment

The National Microelectronics Institute (NMI) has published a private equity investment handbook for semiconductor start-ups. Featuring a series of articles from successful UK silicon entrepreneurs and specialist venture capital investors, it aims to provide readers with a real-world insight into the major aspects of the fund-raising process. The handbook is free to download from www.nmi.org

John Moor, Director of Marketing at the NMI commented, “We wanted to produce a ‘how to’ handbook that really would help accelerate the knowledge of would-be entrepreneurs. There’s certainly many other excellent resources already available, but our aim was to produce something that presented the very real experiences of semiconductor entrepreneur and investor alike.”

Covering a broad range of subjects including business models, valuation and mitigating risk, are articles from Cambridge Silicon Radio, Icera and picoChip, while the SETsquared Partnership of Universities also writes on the impact of intellectual property.
