GLYN gets Micronas and adds Audio and Video IC’S to portfolio

In addition to supplying cutting-edge IC and sensor system solutions for consumer and automotive electronics, Essex based specialist microelectronics distributor Glyn will now be talking to designers about audio and video components for voice over IP and video surveillance applications following its appointment as UK distributors for semiconductor designer and manufacturer Micronas.

Other components from Micronas include Hall sensors and ARM microcontrollers but it is the digitization of audio and video which offers a great deal of scope. Already considered a market leader in innovative, global TV system solutions in the consumer market, Micronas is constantly developing new products for industrial applications.

Glyn MD Steve Rutter said: “Micronas would be a welcome addition to any distributor’s linecard, so we are particularly delighted to have won it. They have some excellent products for the emerging industrial audio and video markets with security systems high on the list.” Glyn will be able to provide enquirers and customers with full technical support and assist with reference designs.
