New from Lambda is the ZWX series of low profile, multiple output ATX open frame switching power supplies designed for industrial computing applications, such as computer servers, industrial computers and broadcasting equipment. The ZWX series comprises three units, the ZWX180, ZWX240 and ZWX300, suitable for applications where convection cooling is desired and rated at 90W, 120W and 150W, respectively. 1000W single-output power supply boasts medical approvals
Lambda has expanded its SWS series of single output AC/DC power supplies with the introduction of amedically-approved 1000W unit. The SWS1000L can be supplied with a choice of 5, 12 or 24V output, and has a peak output power of 1224W on the 24V model. Lambda will extend this series soon to offer more output voltage selections between 3.3V and 60V. SWS1000L models have 4kVAC input to output isolation and low leakage current (<300µA) whilst retaining curve B conducted and radiated EMI performance.
Open PCB AC/DC power supplies
Three new series of single output 20W, 40W and 60W AC-DC units are the latest additions to Lambda's open PCB ZPSA power supply range. All units within the new series boast a very low profile - the ZPSA20, for example, measures just 88.9 x 50.8 x 20.32mm - making them an ideal choice for applications ranging from video/audio routers, datacoms, point of sale equipment, low power LED signs and lighting.
30W Single Output Class 2 Power Unit
MEAN WELL has launched a product for LED lighting applications. The ELN-30 series 9 is a 30W AC/DC enclosed type switching power supply. Targeting economical lighting applications, ELN-30 has non-PFC design to keep the cost low but still complies with the requirements of UL 1310 class 2. So the output power of these limited power sources will less than 100VA or 5A under any situation and hence can significantly reduce the hazardous condition exposed to the technicians who execute the construction or maintenance of the LED lighting system.

AC/DC power supply from XP available in multiple mechanical formats
XP Power's SDC320 AC/DC power supply offers a choice of four formats, two using convection cooling or system airflow and two with internal fan cooling. The compact 320W unit, measuring just 101.6 x 152.4 x 38.10 mm (4 x 6 x 1.5 in) for the U-channel model, has a power density of 8.9 watts per cubic inch. This low-profile model, suitable for 1U applications, is also available with a vented cover if required. For applications where there is insufficient airflow, two fan-cooled models are available. These have the fan mounted on the end or the top of the unit's enclosure, and offer a choice of space-saving vertical or horizontal mounting.

Until now, the power supplies have only been available in open-frame, or non-enclosed, versions. 100W Step Type Class II DIN Rail Power Supply
MEAN WELL has introduced the new DR-100 series – 90~100W single output class II DIN rail switching power supply for the fast growing demand of DIN rail applications. With Class II of protection level (double insulated, no earth ground wire is required), DR-100 series provide users a safer operating environment since the whole plastic case is free from hazardous leakage current. Ultra compact 100 Watt multiple output power supply with industrial and medical approvals
XP Power announces the availability of their ECM100 series of open frame, multiple output 100 Watt AC/DC power supplies. The series offers dual, triple and quad output variants with a total of 15 models in the range, and complements the single output versions released previously. Measuring just 114.3 x 63.5 x 30.5 mm (4.5 x 2.5 x 1.2 inches), the compact size of the ECM100 series provides a power density of 7.4 watts per cubic inch.
Plug-in PSU offers high power density without fan cooling
The latest addition to Schroff's ecopower range of AC/DC switch-mode regulators is a compact 200W plug-in unit that takes up just half the width of a conventional power supply of this performance level and yet is able to achieve an efficiency of 90% using only convection cooling. Particularly aimed at datacom and telecom applications, the new SEC148-200 power supply provides a main output of 48V, together with a battery-charging output of 56V.
250W 1U power supplies from Artesyn now available from UR Group
The Artesyn NLP250 series expands the range of low-to-mid-power solutions available from UR Group. This high-density, high-efficiency switching power supply is only 3.8 cm high with a footprint of just 10.2 x 17.8cm (4x7in) making it suitable for 1U high applications. The range offers up to 250W from 0C to 70C (derating from 50C to 70C) with a typical efficiency of 86%.

MEAN WELL has announced the introduction of a product series for LED lighting. The PLN-30 is a 30W AC/DC enclosed type switching power supply with active PFC function. These limited power sources comply with UL 1310 class 2 that under any situation the output power will less than 100VA or 5A. Emerson Network Power has launched a digitally controlled 500W AC/DC power supply that offers an unprecedented power density of 0.7W per cubic centimetre. The new Astec NTS503 power supply has an exceptionally compact 10.2 x 17.8 centimetre footprint, making it easy for OEMs to incorporate a single unit that satisfies all their bulk dc power needs, and offers a choice of convection or forced-air cooling. The convection-cooled model has an output of 200 W and a height of just 3.8 centimetres, making it ideal for 1U (4.4 cm high) rack-mount chassis and other low-profile applications, while the fan-cooled version can deliver its full rated output of 500 W up to 50 °C with 30 CFM forced air. Both versions accommodate a wide ambient operating temperature range of 0 °C to 70 °C.
Ultra Compact 10 and 15W AC/DC power supplies can be PCB or chassis mounted
XP Power has announced the availability of the ECL series of ultra compact, low power AC/DC power supplies. Two series are available in the range, the 10W ECL10 and the 15W ECL15. Both supplies are available in 3 mechanical formats: open frame pcb mount, encapsulated pcb mount, and open frame chassis mount. The ECL10 open frame pcb mount unit measures just 25.4 x 50.8 x 22.8 mm (1.0 x 2.0 x 0.9 inches), and has a power density of 5.6 W per cubic inch. It is believed to be the world's smallest 10W AC/DC power supply in this type of package.

XP Power continues to increase the flexibility of its range of AC/DC power supplies with the launch of the MFA350. Believed to be the world's smallest 350 W power supply, the base platform achieves 11.2 Watts per cubic inch power density. The product is designed specifically for telecom and datacom applications, such as storage area networks, data networking and post-production broadcast equipment. Its design facilitates a multitude of packaging and power options, including a hot-swap version.
