Ultra compact 100W AC/DC power supply meets industrial and medical safety standards
XP Power has announced the availability of the ECS100 family of single output 100 Watt AC/DC power supplies. Fitting into a standard 1U space, this compact unit, measuring only 50.8 x 101.6 x 30.5 mm (2 x 4 x 1.20 inches), offers a high power density of 10.4 Watts per cubic inch. The units can provide 80 Watts when convection cooled, and require only 10 CFM of forced airflow to provide the full 100W output.
Hot swappable 1U 1500W AC/DC power supply suits bulk power and DPA applications
XP Power has announced the GFR1K5 1500 Watt AC/DC power supply series aimed at a broad range of industrial and communications applications that require bulk power within a compact 1U enclosure. Available in four single output models covering the nominal output voltages of +12, +24, + 48 or +56 VDC, the units can be mounted within a standard 1U height equipment rack. Murata Power Solutions provides front-end power for zero emission race team
Murata Power Solutions' D1U-W AC/DC front-end power supply has been chosen by the Imperial Racing Green Team for use in the Hydrogen fuel cell systems for its next-generation Zero emission vehicles. XP - Ultra compact AC/DC power supply family adds screw terminal options
XP Power has announced line-up additions to its ECL family of ultra compact low power AC/DC power supplies. The ECL-S series, comprising 15 and 25W models, provides a chassis mount screw terminal format option in addition to the chassis mount JST connector, PCB mount and encapsulated versions already available across the whole ECL range. Believed to the smallest units available in the market, the 15 W ECL15-S model measures just 84 x 34.50 x 26.4 mm (3.31 x 1.35 x 1.04 inches). The new series is ideal for low power applications that require the use of a chassis mounted screw terminal supply or where parts need to be sealed from the operating environment.
XP claims first 250W AC/DC power supply to hit 95% efficiency
XP Power has announced a 250W AC/DC power supply, the CCM250, that achieves up to 95% efficiency, cutting the heat generated in medical, IT and industrial systems. Rival products typically operate at 90% maximum efficiency, with 10% of the input energy being converted to waste heat that needs to be removed. The 5% improvement in efficiency offered by the CCM250 means that it dissipates only half the heat, reducing or eliminating the requirement for heatsinks, or fans for forced-air cooling.

Compact 350 Watt AC/DC power supply from XP
XP Power has announced additions to its MFA350 AC/DC power supply product line-up that are aimed at industrial applications. TDK-Lambda has added more functionality to its PFE range of AC-DC MEGA-brick power supplies with the introduction of the 1000W PFE-F Series. Like the existing lower power PFE modules, TDK-Lambda's PFE1000F combines the AC to HVDC front-end with DC-DC converter into a single module. Emerson Network Power has launched a new series of programmable AC-DC front-end power supplies that provide a world-class power density of 1.3 watts per cubic centimetre. The new UFE series power supplies have an exceptionally compact 140 x 273 mm footprint and a height of just 41 mm, enabling up to three supplies to be contained on a single 1U high 19 inch (483 mm) rack-mounting chassis.
